On March 29th, the Wisconsin Society for Ornithology had a field trip to Goose Pond and the bird watchers were entertained by seeing a flock of about a dozen buffleheads flying near them. They are migratory and most of them winter in protected coastal waters, or open inland waters, on the east and west coasts of North America and the southern United States.
