WebDec 13, 2024 · The performance of fox and kings are pretty identical. What gave the king the hands hands up was the better fit and finish. I personally like the look of the fox but went kings because they were local. For my application icons are the cheapest then fox and then king. I imagine price reflects quality in this scenario but I was unsure. WebMay 26, 2024 · Both Icon and Fox have coilover rated to 0-3", but like mentioned above, taller than that you get into drop bracket territory. Icon shocks have digressive valving and tend to ride on the stiffer side. Not horrible if you like that "sporty" feel. Fox is progressive and will ride much smoother, especially for mostly street driven vehicle.

I think they ride great, but I would recommend Fox as well.. when shock brands are discussed you basically get the universal response that if you choose either Fox, King, or ADS you will be very happy and really can’t go wrong with any of these brands. As for the rear end I think this is typically a safe reference:

I am deciding between the "big three" in the front coil over department. I do a lot of on-road highway driving but sometimes venture out onto the trail or the off road park. What do you guys think? Not known for the greatest customer service. The Fox 2.0 is a Rebuildable IFP shock, any knowledgeable shock guy can rebuild and revalve for a fraction of the cost of new shocks. For the money spent on new shocks I would add reservoir's and revalve for the extra weight.
